Midreshet Africa connects Jewish learning with spiritual practice, community formation and responsible service in Africa.
We teach Hebrew, Bible, Jewish history and thought, theology, spirituality and interfaith studies. Learning is offered online and in person for individuals, communities, churches and institutions.
We develop readers, sourcebooks and original educational materials that help learners engage directly with texts and traditions. Our Library is growing alongside our teaching.
We bring Jewish wisdom into conversation with the wider Abrahamic family and African spiritual traditions. Our work creates space for questions, respectful dialogue and shared learning.
We convene gatherings, festivals and retreats, and welcome partnerships that connect education with community life. The Academy’s wider programmes and institutional structures are developing as teachers, partners and resources gather around the work.
Our long-term educational framework brings together the School of Applied Spirituality, the School of Community Leadership & Ministry, Ararat Youth Corps and Ganga College. These units describe the Academy’s direction; programme availability is confirmed individually as teachers, partners and resources are secured.
